Liquid Facelift
Liquid Facelift
The normal ageing process will alter the appearance of your face due to losing fat, muscle and skeletal structure. Whilst everyone ages some factors can escalate the process such as genetics, stress, poor skincare regime, chronic sun exposure and an imbalance of hormones. Signs of facial ageing can have an impact on your psychological and emotional health as it alters your self-perception/confidence and how you feel others see you.
It often starts with the midface suffering with volume loss (fat) often giving the cheeks a flattened appearance and the lower face (jowls) will start to feel loose and heavy. Ageing alters the symmetrical and balanced facial features commonly found in youth. Therefore, with specially placed dermal fillers we can achieve attractive and natural-looking results by replacing volume loss.
The average age women hit menopause is 51 and this is when Estrogen production starts declining reaching its lowest amount. It is also associated with skin thickness and collagen production so it reduces skin wrinkles, maintains hydration, and keeps the skin healthy. That is why a lot of menopausal women notice a sudden increase in ageing signs after a few months of menopause.

What is a liquid facelift?
A liquid facelift is the term used for dermal fillers used into several regions of the face aimed at restoring the “triangle of youth” as you can see below on the image below.
A youthful face is made up of three attributes high cheekbones, full cheeks and a well-defined jawline. These unique features are often referred to as the “triangle of youth”, and this is easy to visualise when you think of the point of the triangle as the chin, and the base of the triangle being at the cheeks. What happens when we age is that this youthful triangle often becomes inverted as you can see on the right of the image, and is then referred to as “the pyramid of age”.
This triangle turns itself around as face becomes more oblong, and you’ll notice that your cheeks flatten and jowls appear. Fortunately, these signs of ageing can be minimised and the triangle of youth can be restored in a natural and flattering way if your diagnosis is accurate in the first instance, and an appropriate treatment plan is devised.
